Live in Cook/Housekeeper – Cotswolds, England - £65,000 - £75,000

Job Description

A lovely English family of two adults and two teenage children are looking for a professional, experienced, qualified and kind Cook/Housekeeper to assist them in their weekend home.  The property is three storeys, consisting of six bedrooms.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ideally a minimum of three years’ experience as a Live-in Cook/Housekeeper with at least two years employment with the same family, in a similar role.
• Excellent references from each position held.
• Fluent English.
• Confidence cooking a range of dishes, sourcing fresh ingredients and managing a range of dietary requirements.
• A culinary qualification would be an advantage.
• Entertaining / catering experience would be a huge bonus.
• Ideally an accommodation background in a five star establishment.
• A knowledge of antiques, art and textiles would be preferable.

DUTIES:

• Friday, Saturday and Sunday – from 7am to 7pm and two other half days during the week.
• All housekeeping duties to the highest standards.
• Scheduled deep cleans.
• Making beds to the highest finish.
• Inventory management, shopping, errands and dealing with contractors.
• Preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family.
• Assisting with occasional entertaining and dinner parties
• Seasonal wardrobe management.

Approx. salary and benefits:

• Excellent Terms and Conditions.
• £65,000 - £75,000 gross per year depending on experience and qualifications.
• Separate two-bedroom cottage provided.  All bills paid.
• Use of family car.
• Six weeks paid holidays per year.
• Year-end bonus.
